Our program is for athletes in kindergarten - 6th grade. The VHS Cheer coaching staff, cheer teams, and parent volunteers run this program. We have a long tradition of being great game cheerleaders, school spirit leaders, and positive community representatives; it all starts with Rocket! Your decision to join us will lead to valuable life lessons such as physical skill development, confidence, and friendships.

If you have a uniform from last year that still fits, you can continue using that uniform. Required uniform pieces include shell (top), skirt, briefs, t-shirt, and poms. There are also optional cheer shoes (you can use any plain white cheer shoe) and fan gear items (hoodies, shirts, etc.) available in our team store for purchase.
In addition to the uniform items, your athlete will need white cheer shoes, no-show white socks, long sleeve white shirt and plain black leggings.
Registration closes August 4th. The parent meeting will be held August 5th (not the 4th as previously mentioned) at 6pm at the field between the HS and MS. Practices will be held on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 pm beginning August 12th at the field between the HS and MS. Games are on Saturdays starting September 6th. Athletes will be assigned to teams based on grade level. We will teach chants, jumps, tumbling, age-appropriate stunts, and other cheer basics. We will not receive the football schedule until late August. We will release our teams’ game schedules as quickly as possible after we receive the football schedules. Participation is optional for all possible AWAY games.
